Refund Policy
ForgeMesh produces custom, made-to-order artwork. This policy sets out when deposits and milestone payments are refundable and how to raise a dispute.
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This document contains [Jurisdiction] and related placeholders that must be completed and reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication. It is a template, not legal advice.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all engagements invoiced by ForgeMesh, including project work, embedded team retainers, and short strike-team engagements. It supplements our Terms of Service and any signed statement of work ("SOW"), which prevails in case of conflict.
2. Custom work
Deliverables are bespoke and produced specifically for you. Because they cannot be resold or reused, statutory cooling-off rights that apply to standard consumer goods generally do not apply to commissioned production work under the law of [Jurisdiction]. Where a mandatory consumer right does apply, nothing in this policy limits it.
3. Deposits
The deposit reserves artist capacity and covers discovery, planning, and initial production. Deposits are fully refundable if you cancel in writing before production begins, and non-refundable once the kickoff has taken place or the first asset, blockout, or previs has been started.
4. Cancellation during production
If you cancel mid-engagement, we invoice for all completed milestones plus work in progress at the day rate stated in the SOW, and refund any prepaid balance above that amount within 14 days of the final reconciliation. You receive the corresponding files in their current state.
5. Milestone payments
Payments for accepted milestones are non-refundable, since the corresponding files have been delivered and licensed. A milestone is accepted on written approval, or after 10 business days without written feedback.
6. Quality remedies
If a deliverable does not meet the specification in the SOW, notify us in writing within 10 business days with specific references. We will correct the deliverable at no additional cost within the agreed revision framework. If, after two good-faith correction attempts, the deliverable still does not meet the written specification, you may request a refund of the fee attributable to that deliverable.
Refunds are not available for changes of creative direction, changed internal priorities, engine or platform changes made after approval, or feedback that contradicts a previously approved milestone.
7. Retainers
Monthly retainers are billed in advance and cover reserved artist capacity. Unused hours do not roll over and are not refundable. Retainers may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice, effective at the end of the current billing period.
8. Delays caused by ForgeMesh
If we miss an agreed milestone date by more than 15 business days for reasons within our control and do not remedy it after written notice, you may cancel the affected milestone and receive a refund of amounts prepaid for that milestone.
9. How to request a refund
Email info@heygridr.store with your SOW reference, the invoice number, the deliverable concerned, and the reason for the request. We acknowledge within 3 business days and issue a decision within 14 days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within 14 days of the decision, less any non-recoverable transaction fees where permitted under the law of [Jurisdiction].
10. Chargebacks and disputes
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the matter directly. Unresolved disputes are handled under the governing law and dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Service, in [Jurisdiction].
